The DAISY Award, which stands for “Diseases Attacking the Immune System,” was created in memory of J. Patrick Barnes. Mr. Barnes’ family was positively impacted by the nursing excellence he received prior to his autoimmune-related death. Nurses nominated for the DAISY Award demonstrate exceptional qualities such as caring, flexibility, relationships with co-workers, leadership, and more.
The ASH Star Award was created for all non-nursing employees as a way to show appreciation for all they do. This can include patient care, project leadership, customer service, serving as an example of our Standards of Behavior, and more.
