Meet your Arkansas orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Samuel A. Moore! Dr. Moore enjoys helping athletes get back in the game by treating their sports injuries.
Dr. Samuel A. Moore knew he wanted to be a surgeon since junior high school, and he has taken many steps to become the experienced Arkansas orthopedic surgeon he is today. He left his hometown of Fort Smith to attend college at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology in 2003. Dr. Moore went on to earn his medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2007 before beginning an internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dr. Moore is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Arkansas Osteopathic Medical Association. He is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Association, and as an Osteopathic Physician, Dr. Moore is specially trained in Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) that focuses on treating each patient as a whole person.
Dr. Moore joined Arkansas Surgical Hospital because he wanted to help his fellow physicians, staff, and administration work hard to provide top-tier care for their patients. As a part of the surgical team, he is best known for specializing in sports medicine, joint replacement, and arthroscopy of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
When he is not performing surgeries, Dr. Moore likes to spend time with his wife and four children. His hobbies include water sports, hiking, fishing, hunting, and carpentry. The Christian faith plays a large role in Dr. Moore’s life, and he is active in church activities and choir. As an Arkansas orthopedic surgeon who graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Dr. Moore is also a passionate Razorbacks fan.
